John Partridge is the former President of Visa Inc., where he oversaw marketing, product, client services, processing, and technology. As Chief Operating Officer, he led Visa’s transformation from a member-owned association into a global, publicly traded company. Prior to this, John served as the first President and CEO of Inovant, managing VisaNet, Visa’s electronic payment processing service. Earlier in his career, John was Senior Vice President and CIO at UNUM Corporation, leading enterprise-wide technology operations. Before that, he managed systems, operations, and consumer banking at Banco de Credito del Peru and spent 10 years at Wells Fargo Bank.

Sophie Lo is a veteran entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in venture capital, M&A, biotech, and real estate funding across global markets. She is the co-founder and managing partner of Redwire Capital, a major investor in Velo, where she has served as a board director for four years. Sophie has been instrumental in advising Velo’s leadership team and advocating for its founders. Her diverse background includes roles as a business owner, M&A turnaround specialist, fintech investor, and real estate financier. This breadth of experience, combined with her extensive global network, positions her uniquely as Velo’s Co-CEO.

Chief Technology Officer
John DeRaedt is the Chief Technology Officer at Velo Payments, bringing over 35 years of experience in software development and technical innovation. Throughout his career, John has designed solutions for complex business and technical challenges, working with startups and global corporations such as Experian, SIX Group (Zurich OTC), Sargento Foods, Fortunoff of Westbury, Dana Corporation, Eaton Aeroquip, Ford, DAP, Boeing, Caterpillar, Home Shopping Network, Revolution Money (American Express Serve), and Visa. As a founding member of Velo Payments, John has played a critical role in driving the company’s technical strategy and development. His expertise spans all technical aspects of Velo’s journey, from inception to its current status as a leader in payment technology. John’s deep experience and innovative approach position him as a vital force behind Velo’s ongoing success.

Chief Financial Officer
Daniel Kufeld, CPA/PFS, is the Chief Financial Officer of Velo Payments Inc. and YapStone, Inc., bringing over 30 years of expertise in accounting, finance, tax planning, investment management, and venture capital. As CFO, Daniel oversees the company’s financial health, guiding strategic decisions and ensuring fiscal stability. He is also the co-founder and CFO of Assetfort Wealth Management, an early-stage venture fund focused on real estate, advanced payment technologies, and cryptocurrency. Previously, Daniel served as a Tax Partner and Wealth Advisor at a leading CPA firm, co-managing its investment practice with over $1 billion in assets. His earlier experience includes leadership roles as Tax Partner and Director at top firms such as Deloitte, KPMG, and Ernst & Young. Additionally, Daniel co-founded and serves as CFO of Redwire Capital, a major investor in Velo.

Chief Compliance Officer
Maria C. Segovia is the Group Chief Compliance and Risk Officer at Velo Payments, with over 25 years of experience in compliance, risk management, regulatory oversight, and governance across 130+ countries. At Velo, Maria leads AML/CTF, risk, governance, and regulatory programs. Previously, she was President and Chief Business Officer at Unimoni, launching white-label payment technology solutions in the Americas. Before that, Maria served as President and Chief Compliance Officer at TimesofMoney, Inc., expanding U.S. licensing, managing compliance across five countries, and facilitating the company’s sale. Earlier, she spent a decade at Sigue Corporation as Chief Governance and Compliance Officer, overseeing compliance, risk, and business continuity programs globally. Maria’s expertise and leadership are key to Velo’s commitment to compliance and risk excellence.
